'Star Wars: Episode VIII' Eyeing This Actress For A Lead Role!?!

By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

Even though it was kind of being assumed that Daisy Ridley would be the main female lead of the entire new trilogy, reports have been trickling out over the past couple months that Lucasfilm and Disney are casting for two new female leads in Episode 8.  Now according to the good folks over at Latino-Review we have a new name to add on to the list, actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw has joined Tatiana Maslany, Gina Rodriguez, and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’s Olivia Cooke.  Get the details below.

According to Latino-Review:

There was a fourth actress that didn’t make it to that list. British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw, known for her roles in the critically aclaimed films Belle and Beyond the Lights, is also in the running for the gig. Apparently there are two female lead roles in the movie, and they both share the same the shortlist, so expect to see more than one of the actresses listed above in the movie.

As of right now, the only confirmed actor for the movie is Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy), who is supposedly playing the villain.
