Pros:I’m happy to report that M. Night Shyamalan is back ladies and gentlemen! Hopefully this will be the turning point of his career and he starts making good movies again. Now the one thing I really enjoyed about this movie is that it didn’t try to be a horror film but also worked with comedy side by side. I would be laughing my ass off at a scene but then I would just get this creepy feeling in my gut from what I’m seeing on screen. Deanna Dunagan had me cracking up but also knew how to get under my skin which is the perfect line up for a movie like this. And since this is a M. Night you know there’s a twist and it’s a pretty good one that unless you’re listening really hard you probably not going to guess it.
Cons: The kids Olivia DeJonge and Ed Oxenbould were really annoying. The whole time it was like okay this is funny but then it’s like you’re starting to annoy the shit out of me shut up. And Kathryn Hahn is probably the worst mom I've seen in a movie.
The Visit is a nice comeback film for M. Night which does a good show of showing horror/comedy side by side and a creepy twist at the end.
