Sony has oddly enough decided to cast the young Tom Holland as Nathan Drake in the upcoming live-action adaptation, with director Shawn Levy still on board to helm the film.
This casting decision comes as a very surprising move, considering all the other actors that have been rumored for the role, like Mark Wahlberg, Chris Pratt, and Jon Bernthal, Mr. Tom Holland is less than half of some of those guys ages and apparently the script was rewritten to accommodate the young actor.
Not exactly sure how I feel about this casting yet, mostly because I'm not even sure how great Tom Holland actually is considering his two big films, Spider-Man: Homecoming in July and the hopeful oscar contender, The Current War in December. Besides seeing the kid in Captain America: Civil War last year, I haven't really ever spent anytime on the big-screen with the rising star.
