It looks as though we've got our first blockbuster of the year folks! 20th Century Fox and director James Mangold's latest film Logan blew past predictions on Thursday night bringing in a massive $9.5 Million in tickets sales.
Logan, which is said to be Hugh Jackman's final appearance as the legendary X-Men character Wolverine. A role the actor has played on the big-screen for nearly two decades is sitting at a 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and strong word of mouth. The Thursday night haul is even more impressive considering the film is not ripping people off with lackluster 3-D tickets. The R-rated superhero film now has projections that could see the film hitting over $100 million this weekend.
The critically acclaimed film is one of the best superhero films ever made and we'd be surprised if this film didn't end up being one of the biggest R-rated films ever at the box office. The re-watchability factor here is through the roof!
