Channing Tatum's Gambit movie is now officially set to hit theaters on February 14, 2019.
20th Century Fox has officially set the release date according to Variety. The long delayed X-Men film will see Tatum as the beloved X-Men character Remy LeBeau aka Gambit in his on solo outing. The wheels finally got turning last week when it was revealed that Pirates of the Caribbean director, Gore Verbinski had signed on to helm the project.
The character was created in 1990 by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee, gaining huge popularity partly due to the X-Men animated series on Fox in the early to mid 90s and he first appeared on the big screen in 2009’s much maligned X-Men Origins: Wolverine, portrayed by Taylor Kitsch.
This will mark the fourth X-Men film to hit theaters in less then a year starting in 2018 with New Mutants on April 13th, Deadpool 2 on June 1st, X-Men: Dark Phoenix on Nov. 2nd, and now of course Gambit on Feb. 14th.
