By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

Welcome back to our Weekend Box Office Report here at EastCoastMovieGuys.

Straight Outta Compton took the top spot again this weekend bringing in another $26.8 million in its second weekend of release, the film in just two weeks of release has amassed a very nice $111.5 million domestically.

With the strong reviews and great word of mouth Compton is easily becoming the biggest movie of August this year, and marks Universal Studios 13th weekend atop the North American box office.  Universal, is having a record breaking year at the box office and now has seven different films that have passed the $100 million mark domestically this year.

Coming in second place again this weekend is Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation in its fourth weekend of release bringing in another $11.7 million taking its domestic total to a sizable $157.7 million.

Taking third place this weekend was Blumhouse production's Sinister 2, bringing in $10.6 million in its first weekend of release.  The sequel opened slightly below expectations of around $14 million, the film will likely still be a modest success for the studio.  As always Blumhouse makes their films on the cheap, this one being produced for under $10 million.

Hitman: Agent 47 debuted in a disappointing fourth place this weekend bringing in only $8.2 million.  The film marks Fox Studio's second attempt at adapting the video game property, the first being in 2007, which debuted with around $13 million and ended up making less than $100 million worldwide.

Finally rounding out the top five in its second weekend of release is Warner Brother's Man From U.N.C.L.E bringing in $7.4 million.  The film has now made a disappointing $26.6 million domestically.

The only other wide release of the weekend was Lionsgate's American Ultra starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart bringing in just $5.5 million for a sixth place finish.
