The 'Prometheus' Sequel Called 'Alien: Paradise Lost' To Reveal Alien Origin?

By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

While a huge amount of news has been hitting the web lately about the upcoming sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel aka Alien: Paradise Lost.  Nothing is as cool as this little nugget of information we received earlier today is!  Ridley Scott while speaking with IGN revealed a key piece of information about the upcoming sequel's story, and that is that it would reveal the origin of the Alien species from the Alien films.

Prometheus 2 will start getting shot in February and I’ve already begun now so I know what the script is. Then there will be another one after that and then maybe we’ll back into Alien 1, as to why? Who would make such a dreadful thing?
— Ridley Scott

These statements seem to go along with what Scott said awhile back about the sequels and the "Alien" species:

I always thought of the Alien as a kind of piece of bacterial warfare. I always thought that that original ship, which I call the Croissant, was a battleship, holding these biomechanoid creatures that were all about destruction.
— Ridley Scott

Alien: Paradise lost is set to begin production next year, and will shoot in Australia.  The film is said to be set around around Noomi Repace and Michael Fassbender's characters as the somehow meet up with a group of "travelers".  It was recently discovered that writer John Logan who's previous credits include Skyfall and Spectre had come aboard the project to help "shape" up the script.
