Its finally here folks, the first official trailer for Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions highly anticipated Halloween sequel, officially and strangely titled just Halloween. The film, a direct sequel to the original classic of the same name from 1978 set some 40 years later. The new story retcon's the Halloween lore by getting rid of every single sequel since the original revealing that Michael Myers has been locked away since that fateful night four decades ago.
Master of horror and original director John Carpenter returns to executive produce and score the film. Just of note, this is the only Halloween sequel ever made with Carpenter's seal of approval and creative involvement. Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green who did one of last year's best film's Stronger along with one of our personal favorites, Joe, co-wrote the film with actor Danny McBride and is also directing the picture.
Michael Myers aka The Shape is set to haunt your world this Halloween on October 19th, 2018.
The official synopsis is as follows: In the film, Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role of Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
