Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is really gearing up now folks. Having already cast Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie as the leads in the film, Deadline is now reporting that the infamous writer and director is now casting his so-called "Tarantino regulars" Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen. On top of these "Badass SOBs" joining the cast, Tarantino is also in talks to cast film legend Burt Reynolds to play real life character George Spahn.
The original story, referred to as a Pulp Fiction-like tapestry of stories with characters around L.A. "Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, Tarantino’s upcoming movie focuses on a male TV actor named Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) who’s had one hit western series and is looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick Cliff Booth (Pitt) — who’s also his stunt double — is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate (Rick’s neighbor in the film) and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story."
While this cast is already pretty damned stacked, prepare yourself for a lot more castings to be announced very, very soon. Most likely a lot more of those legendary "Tarantino regulars" along with some awesome cameos. The big question is still out there, who will Quentin cast as Charles Manson?
