Lucasfilm has released another badass TV spot for their highly anticipated new Star Wars flick, Solo: A Star Wars Story. The latest spot entitled "Ride" continues to showcase the surprisingly great looking origin film. A film spotlighting arguably the most popular Star Wars character ever in Han Solo. A character that everyone once believed could only be played by Harrison Ford. Now being played by newcomer Alden Ehrenrich.
More impressive are the latest box office tracking numbers suggesting this film is pacing for a massive $170 Million opening. A figure that will probably increase as we inch closer and closer towards the film's release date on May 25th. Earlier in the year, many industry pundits felt the unnecessary spin-off film would barely scratch $100 Million in its opening weekend following the divisiveness of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Ron Howard directs “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” and Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are the producers. Lawrence Kasdan, Jason McGatlin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller serve as executive producers. Jonathan Kasdan & Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay.
