Lars Von Trier's latest insane film, The House That Jack Built is hitting the festival circuit as we speak, and people are freaking the hell out about this damn thing. Just this past week the film made controversial headlines, when during its first screening during Cannes Film Festival, the film was so shocking, it caused massive walkouts, numbing in the hundreds.
People even reportedly got sick from watching the psychological horror film that follows the titular character, a serial killer played by Matt Dillon, committing gruesome murders over the course of twelve years.
One journalist cover the film at Cannes likened the film to "spending two hours in hell". The big question here is the film any good? Well, we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves when the film is released stateside later this year.
Here's the film's insane tag-line:
“The greatest cathedrals have sublime artwork hidden in the darkest of corners for only God to see... so does MURDER!”
