James Cameron and director Tim Miller's new Terminator film is picking up steam and the film is sounding more and more intriguing as we get closer to the start of production this Summer. What we know so far. The film is a sequel and reboot. It will be ignoring every sequel after Terminator: Judgement Day and will see the return of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Now, according to a new report from THR, The Martian and Blade Runner 2049 actress Mackenzie Davis is joining the film in a headlining roll, it must be noted that while Davis will play a key role in the film, she may not be the reboot's true star. The producers of the film are on the hunt for a Latina actress for a role that will span all three films in this new trilogy.
While plot details are being kept under wraps, Davis is said to play soldier-assassin on a mission. Her character is a human, as far as we know, maybe a twisty character, you never know.
We absolutely love Mackenzie Davis and can't wait to see her stealing scenes in this new sci-fi flick. If you've never seen her on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire, treat yourself. In case you haven't seen Blade Runner 2049, rent it, buy it and check out Davis in one of the best films of 2017.
The untitled Terminator reboot is set for July 26th, 2019.
