The sixth entry in the Terminator franchise is coming and now we know when production is set to officially begin.
Earlier today after speaking with The Arnold Fans, former Governor and action movie star legend Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed, "We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that. I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It's gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”
Oh yes! Could the sixth chapter in the Terminator franchise finally be a worthy sequel to the first two original Terminator films directed by James Cameron? Maybe!
After recently re-requiring the rights to his own Terminator franchise, this latest film will mark the beginning of a new trilogy, all heavily produced by James Cameron. With Deadpool director Tim Miller on board this time to helm the project and franchise stars Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning. Schwarzenegger is rumored to play a human general in the future who's legendary battlefield antics lead to the machines using his DNA as the basis for the T-800 model. Nothing has been confirmed yet about the plot.
Earlier reports for this new trilogy has also pointed to this film completely ignoring the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Salvation, and Terminator: Genisys. A direction that many beloved franchise has been taking as of late to try and restore what was once great. Hopefully it will work.
