Following the recent announcement that Friday and The Fate of the Furious director, F. Gary Gray had signed on to helm the upcoming Men In Black reboot starring Chris Hemsworth. We've now found out that Creed and Thor: Ragnarok breakout star Tessa Thompson will be reuniting with with her Raganrok co-star.
Given their incredible chemistry in Thor: Ragnarok, this is a genius move and it now makes this seemingly uninteresting and quite unnecessary reboot a much needed dose of life. In case you're wondering, as of right now, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are definitely not returning. If we're lucky, maybe we'll get a couple of cool cameos. Luckily it appears that this film will be more of a sequel to the original trilogy, so Agents K and J will still exist in this ever expanding sci-fi world.
Also to note, The Hollywood Reporter is hearing that this film will actually have more of an ensemble cast, so we'll be getting some more casting announcements sooner than later.
The film is being written by Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum with a prime June 14th, 2019 release date.
