Rian Johnson Talks 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'; New Images Of Phasma, Poe, & More!

Welcome back everyone! In keeping with the Star Wars theme of the last week here at EastCoastMovieGuys, we've got some more cool new details and images from the director Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Thanks to Empire Magazine once again, we've got an incredible some incredible new low-res images of Captain Phasma and Poe Dameron, along with some pretty sweet behind-the-scenes images of director Rian Johnson hanging out with Chewy, Finn, and Poe. As bonus, BBC has revealed some awesome collectible stamps that showcase a closer look at the Porgs and Supreme Leader Snoke.

Director Rian Johnson also provided some cool new comments regarding the film's tone:

“This is the second movie in the trilogy, so it’s easy to draw parallels to Empire in terms of a darker feel. And we do dig into the characters: we’re going to challenge them and things are gonna get tough for everybody. But I didn’t want this to go too dark. One of the things I drew from J.J.’s film was that sense of fun and playfulness – that as much Star Wars as ‘I am your father'”
