Director and writer Josh Boone has taken to his social media accounts to reveal that his new X-Men film, perfectly titled New Mutants is finishing its last week of principle photography. Along with the announcement, the directer also reveals the first official logo for the film, which he has described as a "horror film with X-Men characters."
The blood splattering on the letters most likely hint at the said horror element. Will the film be R-rated? Considering 20th Century Fox's recent track record with Deadpool and Logan, an R-rating could be the perfect choice.

According to Screenrant:
If you look close under the ‘S’ of the logo, there’s a figure in the snow, which appears to be Danielle Moonstar aka Mirage (Blu Hunt). Rounding out the other main characters in New Mutants are Illyana Rasputin aka Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Rahne Sinclair aka Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Sam Guthrie aka Cannonball (Charlie Heaton), and Roberto da Costa aka Sunspot (Henry Zaga). They’ll be joined by Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga), a mentor to the group of mutants who has abilities of her own. It’s unclear who the villain of New Mutants will be, with casting calls pointing toward Demon Bear and Warlock as possibilities; previously, Demon Bear was confirmed to be part of Boone’s original pitch for the film.
