'The Meyerowitz Stories' Trailer Sees Adam Sandler In His Best Performance In Years

The first official teaser trailer for Adam Sandler's latest Netflix film, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) is here and thankfully it appears to be a film that's actually worth seeing and with some strong positive buzz out of Cannes earlier in the year, we're hearing that it could even be an early awards contender, fingers crossed.

The film is written and directed by Noah Baumbach, who's previous work includes Frances Ha, Greenberg, While We're Young, and The Squid and the Whale. Beings that both Greenberg and The Squid and the Whale are two of my favorite films of all-time, it should come as know surprise that I've go high hopes for this one. While I love the Netflix model, and how its allowing so many artist to create freely, I really wish Netflix would start distributing their original films in theaters via a limited release before dropping them online. Much like Amazon's model, so us cinema buffs could enjoy them on the big-screen.

If you haven't seen those two films I mentioned above, I strongly implore you to search them out, Greenberg is perhaps one of the most re-watchable films of all-time.

Let's watch the first teaser trailer below:

Very intriguing, right? I for one, have always had a soft spot for Adam Sandler, especially when he's toned down and putting his dramatic chops to good use. Same goes for Ben Stiller. So yea, this is one to really look forward to this Fall.
