The Weinstein Company has released a brand new trailer for screen writer Taylor Sheridan's highly anticipated directorial debut, Wind River. The new crime thriller stars Jeremy Renner as a local game tracker in Wyoming who finds the body of a young woman on Native American territory. When an FBI agent is assigned to the case (Elizabeth Olsen), she teams up with Renner’s character to solve the mystery.
In back to back years Sheridan's screenwriting efforts have brought to the big-screen my number one favorite films of 2015 and 2016 with Denis Villeneuve's mesmerizing film Sicario and Ben Mackenzie's unforgettable Hell or Highwater. So you can kind of imagine how excited I truly am to see Sheridan's first directorial effort in Wind River, which he also wrote.

Wind River is set to hit theaters on August 4th.
