Lionsgate has released the first official trailer, poster, and synopsis for Short Term 12 director Destin Daniel Cretton's latest drama, The Glass Castle. The beautifully emotional looking film stars best actress winner Brie Larson and Woody Harrelson as a daughter and father who have a extremely complicated relationship in the present and in their poverty-filled past.
The trailer below reveals what could very well be the first true potential best pictures nominee of the year and perhaps even some early oscar buzz for Woody Harrelson's take on well meaning, but troubled eccentric father. Naomi Watts also co-stars along with Max Greenfield, Ian Armitage, and Sarah Snook.

Here's the official synopsis below:
A girl named Jeannette (Brie Larson) comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who’s an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children’s imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty.
