T.J. Miller Reveals First Details On Steven Spielberg's 'Ready Player One' Movie

In case you've just read the headline above and clicked this link being totally surprised by the fact that one of the greatest directors of all-time is helming a live-action version of one of the best novels of the 21st Century than we must ask! Where the hell have you been and are you now so freaking excited that your brain may explode?

Still here, ok, lets' get you caught up to speed! Arguably the greatest filmmaker ever, Steven Spielberg is adapting Ernest Cline's fantastic and super captivating New York Times bestselling novel Ready Player One with rising stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke as the two leads. Along with Ben Mendelsohn, Mark Rylance, T.J. Miller, and Simon Pegg in the supporting roles.

Pretty amazing right ? Now actor and comedian T.J. Miller has brought us our first real official details about the film and his character.

While speaking to Fandango, Miller revealed a few details on his character, i-R0k. Here’s what he shared:

“I’m not in the book. Some plot points are different, but I’m the only new character. I play i-R0k and basically I am a funny, or at least mildly amusing, Boba Fett. In the OASIS, I am a better player than Aech or Daito or any of those guys. I am sort of unequivocally the best bounty hunter, but I work freelance. While all the Sixers work for IOI and Sorrento, he has to commission me and I get an incredibly high fee to either find people and kill them or make them starve in the game.”

The actor also spoke a bit about how he created the voice, modeling it after everyone’s favorite bounty hunter from the Star Wars universe:

“I actually mimicked Boba Fett’s voice. And in the original Star Wars he only ever speaks four or five times in the movies, so I could only learn from ‘What about me? He’s no good to me dead.’ And then ‘As you wish.’ And I used the British actor’s voice instead of the f—ing Australian’s from the prequels – Lucas, you son of a bitch! – and so, I think it’s actually a really fun character.”
