Coming just about 24 hours after after all of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer and poster mania. We may now have our first potentially huge plot spoiler, served up by none other than the marketing team for said film.
So hold on to your butts everyone and please do not proceed any further if you don't want anything spoiled. You've been warned!
Alright. Here we go. Coming to us from CBM earlier this afternoon, a brand new theater standee has been revealed that seems to confirm a heavily rumored plot twist for that involves Luke Skywalker turning to the dark side at some point in the film for some unknown amount of time.
As you can see below, IMAX has released an image of their display for the movie and it features both the Light and Dark sides of the Force. The question is, as you may notice, Luke Skywalker is featured on both sides. Seemingly indicating that the legendary hero will indeed "turn" at some point in the film.
While this may spoil the film for some, it should also be noted that in the official poster released yesterday, if you look closely at Luke's eyes, you can see one eye as being blue for the light side and the other being red obviously representing the dark side.
So what do you guys and gals think? Is this just a marketing gaffe? Will Luke turn? Let us know in the comments below. As always, thanks for tuning into EastCoastMovieGuys!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15th.
