Following last week's announcment by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson that something big was coming after his meeting with DC Comics, we now know what it was all about!
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that The Rock will now star in his own Black Adam movie, as executives didn’t think it made sense to have him just be a villain and supporting character in Shazam.
his report also seems to suggest that the Shazam movie is still a long way off and that the Black Adam film will come first and then Shazam.
nother huge part of this story that many people aren't paying attention to is the fact that The Rock's Black Adam will most likely first be introduced in another DC Film prior to his solo outing.
First off film reporter orys Kit notes on Twitter that it's possible we'll meet Black Adam for the first time in James Wan's Aquaman next year. If that's the case, this movie is probably the priority for the studio and it would make sense for the mythology to be built there before we're introduced to Billy Batson and company.
Now getting to what we've heard from our sources. According to a couple of different folks, The Rock's Black Adam could appear as early as this year's Justice League film, in a cameo to be added sometime this year before the release of the film in November, or a post credits scene.
Whether its Justice League or Aquaman, you can put money on it, that we'll be seeing Black Adam in one of those two films before his official solo outing.
