Doug Liman Officially Signs On To Direct 'Justice League Dark' aKa 'Dark Universe' Movie
Variety is reporting that Doug Liman has officially left the Channing Tatum Gambit project over at 20th Century Fox and now will put all his attention towards this long delayed comic book film adaptation. A film that was originally supposed to be helmed by director Guillermo del Toro, but most likely due to his many different upcoming projects had to leave the property behind.
Variety has also revealed that while plot details are being kept under wraps for now, the story revolves around a Dark Justice League team that consists of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan the Demon. The film is also said to play a major role in the DC Cinematic Universe, which is very interesting to say the least.
Scott Rudin is producing with Michael Gilio writing the first script, expect many more screenwriters to possibly come on board as with any huge film like this.
