Following yesterday's discovery that breakout Dope actor Tony Revolori had been cast as Flash Thompson in Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming. It's now been officially confirmed that another breakout star from the Dope film has joined a superhero franchise, Warner Bros. Pictures' and DC Films has officially announced that Keirsey Clemons Has joined the cast of the upcoming solo The Flash starring Ezra Miller as the titular hero.
While we reported on this casting earlier last month. Only today has it officially been confirmed from Justin Kroll over at Variety revealing that the actress closed the deal earlier today and will play Iris West, the tough-as-nails journalist and friend of Barry Allen, the Flash’s alter ego.
While she has only recently come on to the movie scene. The two films I've seen her in Dope and Neighbors 2, she has stolen every scene she was in. I personally love this casting and with this new casting news and the recent reveal of Ezra Miller as The Flash in the Justice League Comic-Con teaser. I'm starting to get really excited for this film.
The Flash is set to hit theaters in 2018.
