Earlier today a potentially huge and super cool detail on up and coming actress Katherine Waterston's character in Alien: Covenant was revealed by the good folks over at The Playlist.
In acclaimed director Ridley Scott's follow-up to the Alien prequel Prometheus, Katherine Waterston will be playing the commander of a derelict crew, now that's something that was revealed a couple of weeks ago along with a cool image of the actress in the hallway of some type of spacecraft, presumably the Covenant.
While everyone all ready knew that the she was playing the commander, The Playlist has revealed via their trusted sources that Waterston's character will connect directly to the original Alien film, because she will be playing the eventual mother of Sigourney Weaver's character Ellen Ripley. Pretty crazy right, same thing we thought. Would this character details be to on the nose for Ridley Scott trying to directly link the sequel/prequel to the original films? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts on this epic rumor, thanks.
Alien: Covenant is set to hit theaters on August 4th, 2017.
