The first trailer for the gritty real life boxing drama Bleed for This has been released online exclusively via Sports Illustrated. The first trailer looks amazing and appears to be shaping up to be one of Miles Teller's best performances yet. The film is based on the amazing true story of five-time world boxing champion Vinny Pazienza, through his career-ending car accident and his amazing comeback. The film is directed by the filmmaker Ben Young who brought us one of my personal favorites of all-time, the highly underrated and under seen Wall Street drama Boiler Room (2000). The film also stars Aaron Eckhart, Katey Segal, Ciarán Hinds, and Ted Levine.
Enjoy the awesome trailer below, and then sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts on this film! Are you excited for this one? Does Miles Teller have a shot at an Oscar nomination? Lets us know, thanks!
Here's the official synopsis:
"BLEED FOR THIS is the incredible true story of one of the most inspiring and unlikely comebacks in sports history. Miles Teller (Whiplash, Divergent) stars as Vinny “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza, a local Providence boxer who shot to stardom after winning 2 world title fights. After a near-fatal car accident leaves Vinny with a severed spine, doctors tell him he may never walk again. With the help of renowned trainer Kevin Rooney (Aaron Eckhart), Vinny becomes a legend when he not only walks again, but miraculously returns to the ring to reclaim his title belt only a year after the accident."
Bleed for This is set to hit theaters on November 23rd.
