With many hardcore X-Men fans and comic book fans alike, already being very excited for Bryan Singer's next X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse hitting theaters in just a couple of weeks. A film that will see the return of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine (In a cameo at least).
Everyone will be even more excited now that we are starting to get some interesting news about Hugh Jackman's Final Wolverine film, which is set to hit theaters next year.
Over the past few weeks we have had some interesting casting news come to light and now long time producer of the X-Men films Simon Kinberg has revealed that the film has begun filming, and went on to tease fans that they are in for a "real treat" saying:
“It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies.”
While there have been long time rumors of actor Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor X in the film, Kinberg did not officially confirm Stewart, however he did confirm the R-Rated and talked about the setting and tone:
"I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say about that. I will agree with you that Patrick Stewart was rumored to be a part of that film. It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
