Sony Pictures have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Shark attack film The Shallows starring the wonderful Blake Lively trapped a few hundred yards from the shore with a shark circling and trying to kill her. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra who has spent the last half of a decade directing Liam Neeson actioners like Unknown, Non-Stop, and the surprisingly kickass Run All Night. So it will be interesting to see how he handles a film without Liam Neeson in the starring role. As someone who is naturally freaked out by the ocean and sharks this trailer looks absolutely terrifying!

Here's the official synopsis for The Shallows:
"In the taut thriller The Shallows, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy’s ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude."
The Shallows is set to hit theaters on June 29th.
