Christopher Nolans' 'Dunkirk' Begins Filming; Official Cast & Synopsis Revealed

You may ask, where has director Christopher Nolan been? It's been a couple of years since the divisive Interstellar hit theaters and there have been a few rumors hear and there on Nolans' next project.
Well now it's official, Christopher Nolans' next film Dunkirk has officially begun production, and Warner Bros. has also released the offical cast and synopsis, which you can check our below.
The new film will be set during World War 2 in the city of Dunkirk, France. Newcomer Fionn Whitehead is headlining the all-star cast which includes Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and Cillian Murphy. Rounding out the cast are Aneurin Barnard, One Direction singer Harry Styles (which is very strange), James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan and Tom Glynn-Carney.
Here's the official synopsis:
"Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that principal photography on the epic action thriller “Dunkirk” is underway in Dunkirk, France. Christopher Nolan (“Interstellar,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy) is directing “Dunkirk” from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen. The production will shoot in France, Holland, the UK and Los Angeles.
“Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in."
Dunkirk is set to hit theaters on July 21st, 2017.
