By Matt O.
CBS Films has released the first trailer for director David Mackenzie's Hell or High Water. The new action thriller is written by Sicario scribe Tyler Sheridan and stars Ben Foster and Chris Pine as two brothers who have to no money and must prevent the bank from foreclosing on their families farm by pulling off heists. In the mean time Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges who plays the local sheriff trying to hunt them down.
As I've said many times on the site, Ben Foster is the most underrated actor in Hollywood, if you don't believe me, check out some of his films, he kills in almost every role he has ever had. This film looks to continue that trend with Mr. Foster adding to his epic catalog of roles, plus add in Pine and Bridges, this film is gonna be one to look forward to!
So what are your thoughts on this cool looking film? Are you as excited to see this one as much as I am? Check out the trailer below and enjoy!
Here's the official logline:
"In HELL OR HIGH WATER, two brothers, Toby (Chris Pine) and Tanner (Ben Foster), go on a calculated bank robbery spree that puts them on a collision course with a West Texas Ranger (Academy Award©-winner Jeff Bridges) determined to take them down."
Here's the official synopsis for Hell or High Water:
"A story about the collision of the Old and New West, two brothers—Toby (Chris Pine), a straight-living, divorced father trying to make a better life for his son; and Tanner (Ben Foster), a short-tempered ex-con with a loose trigger finger—come together to rob branch after branch of the bank that is foreclosing on their family land. The hold-ups are part of a last-ditch scheme to take back a future that powerful forces beyond their control have stolen from under their feet. Vengeance seems to be theirs until they find themselves in the crosshairs of a relentless, foul-mouthed Texas Ranger (Jeff Bridges) looking for one last triumph on the eve of his retirement. As the brothers plot a final bank heist to complete their plan, a showdown looms at the crossroads where the last honest law man and a pair of brothers with nothing to live for except family collide."
