Its official! Dave Bautista has been cast in the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. The wrestler turned actor will join Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, and Robin Wright. The actor is said to have an important supporting role, probably on the same level as his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy or the latest James Bond film Spectre. While he is cool to watch on the big screen, he is still not the strongest actor.
Original screenwriter Hampton Fancher is back on board, along with cinematographer Roger Deakins. While Ridley Scott is not directing this time around, he will be producing with Prisoners and Sicario director Denis Villeneuve helming the film. Who is currently one of my favorite directors working today, and if you haven't seen Sicario or Prisoners. Do yourself a favor and check both of them out.
Currently there isn't any story details, but we will keep you up-to-date as the become available, thanks for stopping by EastCoastMovieGuys. While you're here, sound off in the comments with your thoughts on this sequel so far.
Blade Runner 2 is set to hit theaters on January 12th, 2018.
