People Magazine has just revealed our first look at actress Elizabeth Banks as the Villainous Rita Repulsa in the upcoming Might Morphin Power Rangers reboot. In the article, the actress talks a little bit about playing the evil Rita Repulsa.
"I've never played a villain before," Banks tells PEOPLE in this week's issue, adding that she's looking forward to "world domination – and being unpredictable as a character."
For anyone who was a fan of the original series when they were a kid, will notice this new costume is a huge departure from the Rita Repulsa we grew up with. Banks also commented on the characters new look:
As for her character's new look: "It's definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa," "We wanted to give her a backstory that connects her to the new Rangers," says Banks.
