Earlier today it was revealed that Lord of the Rings and 300 actor David Wenham had been cast in Marvel and Netflix's upcoming fourth "superhero" show Iron Fist, which is set to hit Netflix early next Spring. It was revealed earlier today that he has been cast as the villainous Harold Meachum. Check out what some of the people close to the project had to say below.
“I’m very excited to have David as our Harold Meachum. David is capable of displaying raw, visceral strength as well as extremely keen intelligence,” said Executive Producer and Showrunner, Scott Buck. “This will add up to a character of complex depth who will keep us off balance all season."
"David brings both a vulnerability and a danger to his many diverse roles,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “This key quality creates a gravitas our series requires as Danny unravels the secrets behind Rand Enterprises."
Wenham joings Finn Jones as Danny Rand aka Iron First and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing. Check back here for more details on the project as production begins to start up. Let us know what you think about this casting and sound off in the comments below.
While no official release date is set yet, expect Iron Fist to hit theaters early 2017.
