With Netflix currently dominating the television landscape with its incredible comic book adaptations like Jessica Jones and Daredevil, plus Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a possible Punisher show on the way. It kind of makes sense for Netflix to start drawing the attention of some quote A-list movie stars, who sees the type of quality cinematic product that can be brought to the big screen. Interesting to note is that all of these characters seem to hangout in and around Hell's Kitchen.
Well there's already been one legendary Marvel character that we know on the big-screen as a badass member of the Avengers, that has also spent a good deal of time in Hell's Kitchen and that is Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye.
During a recent panel at Silicon Valley Comic Con, Renner was asked if he would be interested in doing a Hawkeye seies on Netflix, similar to Dardevil, he responded saying.
“I think that’s actually a really great model, if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that world. These are things that are really not in my control, but I’d be open to it. I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently. The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now, you’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it. Not up to me, though.”
He was also asked later on during the panel, if he would be interested in doing a movie with Black Widow and he responded without hesitation "In a second. I'd love to do that"
All that sounds awesome, and maybe, just maybe something badass, like that happens in the future!
Jeremy Renner can next be seen on the big-screen as Hawkeye in Captain America: Civil War on May 6th.
“Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability."
