Hold on to your butts everyone! Another badass film has a sequel coming, and today its getting an official release date, plus an official title.
John Wick 2, the sequel to the surprise action hit starring Keanu Reeves as a retired assassin who seeks revenge against the Russian mobsters who murdered his dog that was given to him as a final gift by his dying wife is now set to hit theaters in 2017.
The new film is officially titled John Wick: Chapter Two and is being directed by Chad Stahelski (who is half of the original directing duo). The sequel is set to hit theaters on February 10th, 2017.
The film will see the return of several of the original's co-stars including John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynihan, and Lance Reddick. There will also be a slew of new actors joining in on the action this time around including Lawrence Fishburne, Common, Ruby Rose, and Peter Stormare.
All this comes from an official announcement from Exhibitor Relations via a tweet earlier today that says:
"Keanu Reeves will travel to Rome to kick some Italian ass as JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO drops 2/10/17."
John Wick: Chapter Two hits theaters on February 10th, 2017.
