With only a few weeks having passed since we first learned of director Tim Miller's exit from the highly anticipated sequel Deadpool 2, we now may have found out one of the many reasons the director decided to leave. That reason being that the studios is making a lot of plans for the future without first making sure things are already working well in the present.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox isn't even waiting for Deadpool 2 to get into production before making plans for Deadpool 3. With Deadpool 2 set to introduce X-Men characters Cable and Domino, the studio is all set to make Deadpool 3 an "X-Force" film.
As we previously reported John Wick director David Leitch is currently in negotiations to replace Tim Miller, so expect Deadpool 2 to begin filming sometime early next year with a release date set for early to mid 2018.
In other Fox news, it appears the Channing Tatum Gambit project, is looking to move back into active development since Tatum has recently wrapped filming on Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky, we should have some cool updates for everyone on that project sooner rather than later.
So what are your thoughts on the Deadpool/X-Force film and/or the Tatum Gambit film? As always, thanks for stopping by ECMOVIEGUYS!
Deadpool 2 does not yet have a release date.
