With so much Wonder Woman talk lately, you would think there isn't anyway the film could get anymore interesting. Well you'd be wrong. In a recent interview with Israeli talk show Good Night with Guy Pines Wonder Woman herself actress Gal Gadot revealed that she has a major crush on the very talented and extremely beautiful Halle Berry, saying that she would love for Berry to play Diana Prince's love interest in a Wonder Woman sequel.
“I saw her the other day, Halle Berry. She’s so beautiful. Wow! She’s gorgeous! So…yeah, I could do it with her,” Gadot said.
While many of you may say that this is just the actress teasing the host of the show, that Warner Bros. and DC Films would never. However, it was just a few weeks ago that it was revealed that Diana Prince's homeland of Themyscira (Which is made up of all women) is a "queer culture".
“By our standards where I am standing of 2016, Themyscira is a queer culture. I’m not hedging that. And anyone who wants to prevaricate on that is being silly....For the Amazons, it’s just not a word that’s active in their vocabulary. It’s the same way that Diana has to search for the word 'brother' to describe Steve’s relationship with his fellow sailors.”
Gadot went on to say, “In this movie she does not experience any bisexual relationships. But it’s not about that. She’s a woman who loves people for who they are. She can be bisexual. She loves people for their hearts.”
Gadot also reveals that while Diana being bisexual isn't addressed in the Wonder Woman movie directly it only "makes sense".
While obviously, Gal Gadot's dream casting of Halle Berry as her character's love interest will most likely never happen. The possibility of audiences seeing Diana Prince with a female love interest somewhere down the line in DCEU film is all the more plausible now.
