Following many websites crashing on Monday when the tickets finally went on sale because of such high-level volumes of traffic, forcing many to create virtual waiting rooms.
MovieTickets.com and Fandango among many others are reporting that in the short time of two and half days, Rogue One has already become the year's biggest pre-seller of tickets and that original estimates of the first Star Wars anthology film only opening with around $130 to $140 million may have been "way off".
Expect those numbers to jump by the end of the week substantially, I'm going to estimate the film's opening weekend will come in somewhere between $190 to $210 million domestically and over $500 million worldwide.
