What's up you Wolverine fans! Sorry we've been gone all week, we had to take some vacation during the holiday.
To catch you up on all the Logan news, we've got two new Images from the film, one features Hugh Jackman's Wolverine taking care of Patrick Stewart's Professor X in color. The other is another black and white image of a bunch of medical supplies probably related to Mr. Sinister who is still rumored to be the main baddie in the film. As a bonus we've got director James Mangold talking about some different topics involving the film. Enjoy!
James Mangold discussed why it was important to scale back on the CG spectacle for this Wolverine film.
“The goal was to make something human. We made an effort to scale back on the gloss and greenscreen.”
Star Hugh Jackman, who will be reprising his role as Wolverine for the last time, concurred with Mangold’s statement.
“It’s essential you see this as the story of a man who is struggling with mortality and legacy. Whether the world has been better off with him or without him.”
Joining the X-Men franchise is actress Dafne Keen in the role of Laura/X-23. Mangold had nothing but praise for both Jackman and Keen.
“If anyone could steal a movie from Hugh Jackman, it would be Dafne. She carries, all the time, a slight strangeness. I could never have gotten this done without Hugh. You’re going to see him doing some of the best work I’ve ever seen him do.”
Logan stars Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X, Richard E. Grant as Zander Rice, Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, Stephen Merchant as Caliban, Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney, along with Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
Directed by James Mangold with a script by Michael Green and David James Kelly. The film is set in 2024 and follows an older, more weary Logan in a climate where mutants are no longer a big part of the world’s population.
Logan will be in theaters March 3, 2017.
