As if all the Star Wars news today wasn't enough to wet your appetite!
We are getting reports from the good people over at Variety Ryan Gosling is in negotiations to join Hollywood legend Harrison Ford in the sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 original cult sci-fi noir thriller classic Blade Runner! Ford will be returning to play the character of Rick Deckard from the original.
It was just recently announced that the director of Prisoners and Enemy will helm the film while original director Ridley Scott will on be on board as an executive producer.
The film will take place several decades after the original, which was set in a future dystopian 2019 Los Angeles.
If Gosling ends up signing on to do this sequel, it will lend so much more credibility to the project.
The idea of a Blade Runner sequel is nothing new, the project has been in and out of pre-production, and in the news cycle for the past 30 years. Hopefully Gosling signs on the dotted line soon, so they can get the production on this film rolling!
