Welcome back to the weekend box office update,
Cinderella, Disney's live action update to the their 1950's animated classic took the box office this weekend with an estimated $70 million dollars.
Coming in a far distant second place is Liam Neeson's newest action flick Run All Night with an estimated $11 million. It appears that Liam Neeson's action hero star power is starting to fade a bit, after a couple of lackluster openings recently with A Walk Among The Tombstones and Taken 3 performing well below expectations its looking like he may need to re-adjust the roles he has been taking and perhaps co-star and headline a bigger film to bring his star power back to the level it was a few years ago.
Returning to the the third spot at the box office is one of the biggest and best hits of the year Kingsman: The Secret Service bringing in another $6.2 million to cross over the $100 million mark domestically, this film refuses to quit at the box office and has been up and down the top five over the past few weeks.
Rounding out the top five coming in fourth place is Will Smith's Focus which has yet to really find an audience bringing in another $5.7 million to its less than stellar $44 million overall domestic box office gross. Finally falling all the way down to the fifth spot in just its second weekend is the hugely disappointing Chappie dropping more than 50 percent bringing in $5.8 million to add to it $23.3 million overall domestic box office.
