This weekend has usually been a pretty casual weekend for the box office over the past few years and the trend continued this weekend. With no new wide releases this weekend Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 remained on top for the third weekend in a row with an estimated $21.6 million dollars, bringing its total domestic to $257.7 million for a global box office of $560.5 million.
Rounding out the rest of the top 5 was Dreamworks Animation's 'Penguins of Madagascar' at No. 2 with an estimated $11.1 million for a total domestic total of $49.6 million with an overall international total of $144.1 million, which is gonna end up being a disappointment for dreamworks. At No. 3 is Horrible Bosses 2 with $8.6 million for a domestic total of $36.1 and an overall international total of $59.2 million.
Finally at number No. 4 and No. 5 are Disney's 'Big Hero 6', and Paramount's 'Interstellar' he have been been huge for the past few weeks and brought in another $8.1 million and $8 million respectfully.
That all the top 5 numbers for the weekend, thanks for reading and we will see you back here next weekend, as always like, share, and comment below.
