Christoph Waltz could possibly be playing the next James Bond villain, with reports coming from the The Daily Mail saying that Waltz has already signed on to the film. The big question is whether he is actually playing the main villain, or perhaps just a meaty role in the new Bond 24. Speculation would definitely suggest that he is playing the villain, because he has pretty much made his career out of playing villains, from his great role in Inglorious Basterds in which he won an academy award for best supporting actor, or the probably not his fault villain role in the Seth Rogan vehicle The Green Hornet. He also won his second Academy Award playing the anti-hero in Django Unchained. Waltz's next few roles also involve him playing the bad guy role in the new film Big Eyes, Horrible Bosses 2, and Tarzan.
I think he may be getting himself stuck playing the villain for every film he is in, so maybe he is not playing the big baddie in this new bond movie, but most likely he is because type casting is a thing in this industry and just by his recent filmography alone you can kind of see that these are the roles he is being offered, maybe he just likes playing villains who knows? One thing is definitely clear though is that his talent is undeniable and it gets me super stoked to know that he is already or going to be cast in Bond 24. So we will just have to wait and see, production on the film begins in December with a release date set for November 6, 2015.
