By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

X-Men: Apocalypse news has been popping up every, from Bryan Singer teasing us with pictures of him working on the highly anticipated trailer.  And Hugh Jackman reportedly being involved with re-shoots on the film.  Now we have even more cool news straight from one of the coolest mutants in the X-Men franchise!  Mr. Evan Peters aka Quicksilver, who while being interviewed for his role in FX's American Horror Story gave us some pretty juicy tidbits about his role and story-line in X-Men: Apocalypse.  Get the details from the DETAILS interview below.

Here's the X-Men part of the interview.

DETAILS: Is Apocalypse going to be the greatest X-Men movie of all?

Absolutely. It’s the biggest X-Men film. It’s about the apocalypse, so the scope of the film is huge.
— Evan Peters

DETAILS: Just to clarify, since I recently interviewed Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead: This movie is not about a zombie apocalypse, correct?

Ha! No, it’s not. Although that would be amazing if Apocalypse [the evil mutant] brought back the dead to help him take over the earth. I love zombies; I can’t get enough. But the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world.
— Evan Peters

Wow, so pretty telling right?  While its most likely not the main story thread of the entire film, its really interesting to see that Quicksilver with have a pretty sizable role in the film, and without spoiling anything for the X-Men fans not in the know.  A lot of us do know who is father is and it will be very interesting to see how it all plays out on the big-screen.

Leave us your thoughts on these little tidbits below in the comments section!

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
