'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' Gets A Strange New Trailer

By Matt O'Bryant

The third installment of The Divergent Series: Allegiant has received a new trailer and its pretty interesting to say the least. While I saw the first entry of this franchise a couple of years back, I never got around to seeing the second chapter, and I had kind of just completely forgotten about it until this trailer dropped. From my understanding the first two films have been moderately successful and seem to have some kind of a following. Considering there are no more Hunger Games films for awhile, I wonder will that same fan base turn to this franchise which still has a couple more stories to tell.

My biggest take away from this trailer is Myles Teller in the background looking disappointed probably "asking why am I still in this franchise, I'm an elite level actor". Probably not his choice at this point, some kind of multi-picture contract he signed. Anyways, check out the synopsis and the trailer below, and sound off in the comments section and lets us know what you think.

The third installment of the blockbuster Divergent series franchise, ALLEGIANT takes Tris [Shailene Woodley] and Four [Theo James] into a new world, far more dangerous than ever before.

After the earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.
