What's up guys and gals,
Just a few months ago I finally got around to reading the novel Ready Player One written by Ernest Cline. I don't know why it took me so long to finally start reading it, every since its release, friends and colleagues had been telling me how damn great it was. And right they all were, because soon as I flipped open the first page of the novel and started reading the first chapter it was Game On! By far one of the best and most enjoyable reads I've had in a very long time, and the whole time I was reading it I was thinking this would make such a great movie.
Now the film gods have spoken and we have an official release date for the adaptation set to be directed by none other than Steven Spielberg, arguably the greatest living filmmaker. Also of note, "I said to myself how the hell are they gonna afford to have the different rights to all the different properties involved in this book". If you have read the book than you know exactly what I mean, and if you haven't read the book, stop what you are doing right now and go read this damn novel.
Ready Player One is set to hit theaters on December 15th, 2017.
