What's up guys and gals,

The upcoming King Kong movie Kong: Skull Island has been moved to Warner Brothers in preparation for a Godzilla/King Kong film. Thomas Tull of of Legendary Pictures is giving his film to WB in time to make a Vs. movie between the two monsters!

According to The Wrap:

Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ “King Kong” prequel “Kong: Skull Island” is moving from Universal to Warner Bros., an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Cast members include Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Jason Mitchell and Corey Hawkins.

The film is expected to hit theaters on March 10, 2017, while the plot remains under wraps though the story will be set in the mysterious, dangerous island home of the great ape as a team of explorers arrives.

Sources indicate that with Legendary moving back to Warner Bros. for this film, the studio hopes to create a new cinematic big-monster universe with “Kong” crossing over into future “Godzilla” films.

Warner Bros. successfully rebooted that franchise last year with Gareth Edwards‘ “Godzilla,” which grossed $200 million domestically.
