First 'Assassin's Creed' Set Photos Tease Abstergo Industries Building!!

By Matt O'Bryant

What's up guys and gals,

Finally the Assassin's Creed film is moving full steam ahead and we have the first set pictures to prove it below.  While Assassin's Creed is one of the most popular video game franchises to date critically and financially, trying to get the movie adapted to the big screen has not been so successful.  Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel with Ubisoft and Regency Pictures finally agreeing on a script awhile back, getting an all-star cast together, and beginning production on the film.  This is great to see not just for fans of the franchise itself, but for fans of video games in general.  Because if you know your history when it comes to video game properties being adapted to film then you know that a lot is riding on this adaptation being a critical and financial success.  So fingers crossed everyone!

Check out the first set pics below with the director of the movie Justin Kurzel and Azaïzia Aymar Head of Content for the Assassin's Creed franchise.

Here are all the details we know so far about the cast below courtesy of Screenrant:

Fassbender – who also starred in Kurzel’s last film, Macbeth – will be playing two characters: a modern-day man called Callum Lynch, and his ancestor, an Assassin called Aguilar who lived during the Spanish Inquisition. Starring alongside him are Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Ariane Labed and Michael K. Williams. The production is being kept tightly under wraps and the film won’t hit theaters for over a year, but we hope to bring you more updates and news soon.

Assassin's Creed hits theaters on December 21st, 2016.
