Jeff Nichols' 'Loving' Gets A Brand New Gripping & Emotional Trailer

Focus Features have just released a brand new and quite fantastic new trailer for the highly anticipated true story film Loving! The remarkable looking film is directed by my favorite working directing today, Jeff Nichols who has helmed three of the best films of the past 10 years Take Shelter, Mud, and earlier this year Midnight Special. Loving looks to continue the filmmakers incredible streak, which tackles the hard hitting subject of interracial marriage in the late 1960s.

The film stars Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga as Richard and Mildred Loving, a Virginia couple who went up to Washington D.C. to get married, and then were heavily discriminated against by the peers and their local government in Virginia. The true-life story eventually resulted in the Supreme Court affirming interracial marriage as right guranteed by federal law.

The film looks stunning and I can't wait to sit down in a theater for this one. Expect some series awards consideration for this film. Enjoy the brand new Loving trailer below and sound off in the comments section with your thoughts. As always, thanks for stopping by your favorite place for film and television news EastCoastMovieGuys!

Here’s the official synopsis for Loving:

From acclaimed writer/director Jeff Nichols, “Loving” celebrates the real-life courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga), who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown. Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – and their love story has become an inspiration to couples ever since.

Loving is set to hit theaters on November 4th.
