Jared Leto's The Joker Will Not Appear In Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' Movie

After months of speculation, it now appears we may be able to put one major rumor about Zack Snyder's highly anticipated Justice League movie to rest.

According to a new report, Jared Leto's The Joker will not be appearing in the Justice League film. This is according to The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez who debunked the Joker/Justice League rumor earlier today with a simple tweet:

While many fans will just call this bullshit, the scoop master Umberto Gonzalez has some deep connections and has even visited the set of Justice League earlier in the summer along with some few other privileged folk. Plus the man's track record speaks for himself when it comes to breaking big comic book movie news.

However this doesn't exclude The Joker possibly showing up in a post-credits scene or even a mention of the character by Ben Affleck's Batman, setting up Jared Leto to appear in The Batman solo film.

Even though its kind of a bummer, the truth is Justice League is going to be a movie filled with tons of old and new characters. With tons of backstory to be explained, did anyone really need The Joker in this already "over stuffed" film?

Justice League is set to hit theaters on November 17th, 2017.
